The piece symbolizes an individual that knows how to take care of themselves, and is socially aware of sexual health can be as powerful figure. “Red is Open” is a figure that shows we are the kings and queens of our own selves. In some places in Asia, sex is considered a sinful act, but in reality, it’s a natural thing humans do to open a new gift of life in the world, a calmness that can subside the chaos in our own minds. It’s a powerful act to open and learn more about our sexuality.
