Ending AIDS, Erase Stigma

For decades, sexual health has remained a pressing global issue. The emergence of the HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) epidemic can be traced back to the early 1980s, marking the onset of a worldwide pandemic that has impacted millions of lives. However, amidst the challenges, remarkable strides have been achieved in comprehending the virus, devising effective treatments, and implementing prevention measures.

Despite more than four decades passing, HIV and AIDS continue to persist as global epidemics. Although technology continues to progress, we now possess the ability to manage the virus effectively. It is unfortunate that the stigma surrounding HIV remains unchanged. Despite substantial progress in understanding, treating, and preventing HIV, the negative attitudes and discrimination associated with the virus continue to create barriers for affected individuals.

“Ending AIDS, Erase Stigma” - This is the theme of the PULSE Awards 2024, SEXHIBITION from PULSE Gallery. PULSE Gallery and PULSE Clinic are committed to promoting sexual health awareness and reducing the impact of HIV in the region. Art is a powerful tool to convey this message worldwide, which is why PULSE Gallery serves as a platform for artists to exhibit their work and will host the PULSE Awards this year.

For PULSE Awards, there will be  2 categories, Painting and Sculpture. Winners of each category will have a chance to work with PULSE as PULSE Artist In Residence.

artists must send at least 3 photos of their work in three different angles (front, left, right, etc.). We don't have a size limit for artwork submissions. However, large works will be considered on a case-by-case basis and based on the ability of the exhibition space to accommodate the artwork.

Terms and Conditions

1. All artists must certify that the work is their sole creation and are not in violation of any intellectual property rights. If accused of any infringement of intellectual property rights, artists agree that PULSE Clinic will not be liable in any lawsuit and any indemnity imposed.

2. If selected as a finalist, the artist’s works will be shown in a group exhibition at the Bangkok PULSE Art Gallery and auctioned at the conclusion of the exhibition. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be paid to the artist and the remaining 50% will be donated to the Foundation for Life to support testing and treatment of populations without access to financing.

3. Artists agree to allow PULSE Clinic to reproduce or distribute images of the submitted works for marketing, public relations, sales and advertising purposes.
