Pokchat Worasub work pushes the notions of feminism and intimacy with photography, through a voluntary amateurism found on the social medias ( Instagram ), while trying to capture the uncontrolled, the natural pose and moments in between two pose.
These captured moments reveal to us the fragility of her models in which they become "objects of desire". Censored many times on the social media for not "fitting" virtual policies (no nudity is allowed), she keeps coming back over and over and to a point where she includes now a "self-censorship" to her work to fit to the rules.
Pokchat Worasub has made waves in Bangkok’s art scene by exploring the human form through the lens of her camera – or as she describes it – the “natural choreography created by emotions."
Her work has been shown in different venues and galleries in Bangkok including TARS Gallery, Maison Close, Krungtai Gallery, 333 Gallery, Weave Artisan Society and abroad like in galleries in Tokyo and at The House of Photography in Singapore. She has been nominated as a nominee for Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2022 and also selected as one of 50 contemporary artists for Crowdbooks. Her work is part of various private collections.
