Why One Test May Not Be Enough


Semen parameters can naturally vary from one sample to another. If the first result is abnormal, your doctor may recommend a repeat semen analysis before reaching a conclusion. The timing depends on the individual results and clinical circumstances.

An abnormal semen analysis does not automatically mean that pregnancy is impossible. Equally, a normal semen analysis does not guarantee fertility. You need to interpret the results in context.
